Mark David Wilkinson, 60, of Peoria passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at 9:40 pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home with the love of his life by his side. He died after a valiant battle with Acute Leukemia.



He was born May 25, 1957 in Peoria, the son of Robert and Rose Schoenheider Wilkinson. He married Jane Keefer on April 21, 1979.

Mark David Wilkinson, 60, of Peoria passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at 9:40 pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home with the love of his life by his side. He died after a valiant battle with Acute Leukemia.



He was born May 25, 1957 in Peoria, the son of Robert and Rose Schoenheider Wilkinson. He married Jane Keefer on April 21, 1979.



Mark leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years; two daughters, Amanda (Anthony) Scriven of West Peoria and Angela (Grant) Oltman of Boulder, CO; one brother, Steve (Janis) Wilkinson of Eugene OR; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Josie Scriven, who were his pride and joy.



He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Donna Schwindenhammer.



Mark was the owner-operator of Peoria Camera Shop for years. He then went to work at Illinois Cancer Care as their one man receiving department.



He was a member of Mount Olive Church, where he was the Worship Leader for many years. Mark was a very talented musician who could play many instruments and had a beautiful singing voice.



The family wants to thank Dr. Veeder and the staff at Illinois Cancer Care for his excellent care.



Cremation rites have been accorded.



A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Mount Olive Church. Pastor Mark Douras will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 5-7:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel and one hour prior to services.



In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his church or Illinois Cancer Care Foundation.
